Hey guys, so by nature I can be very polite and respectful. However, I realised that can translate as Mr. Nice guy or old fashion. What are ways to appear more intimidating and masculine?

What would you recommend from head-to-toe. Dress style, personality traits, learning new things - self defense in any form, etc.

For example: I want to be respected by both men and women. For guys, so they know they can't mess with me. And so women can feel that they are protected by me.

So you wasted all of the advice you got in the other thread on not being a nice guy?

Respectful would have been engaging with the feedback that people took the time to give on THAT thread.

Manly would have been facing those words, NOT running to a new thread because you didnt like the advice you got.

Not bashing you, but pointing out that even in the simplest things your actions are kidlike. Its not how you dress or speak, its how you handle the simplest of things that will command respect from others.

Magic pill advice: spend a few years and get ripped, get a stylist, act tough.

Shouldn't you worry about how you can be manly instead of perceived as such?

Why would you want to appear intimidating? My advice for you: drop the fake alpha male bullshit. What you are asking for is how to respect yourself. When you genuinely respect yourself, you won't be a "nice guy" who gets stepped on like a doormat, and at the same time, you won't be some socially uncalibrated asshole.

Respecting yourself includes:

1. Genuinely caring about yourself
2. Working out
3. Pursuing your hobbies and interests
4. Eating nutritious and healthy foods
5. Expanding your mind with knowledge-enhancing books
6. Dressing well (look up fashion advice)
7. Good hygiene
8. Putting yourself first
9. Doing things because you want to -- not to please
10. Being true to yourself -- that includes escalating

Long hair. Facial hair. Tattoos and piercings. Edgy clothing. Those are the ways to APPEAR more masculine but they won't hold up if someone tests your frame.

My first suggestion to you would be hit the gym and pack on as much muscle as you can. Second would be to quit your job (stop taking orders from people and doing work that's provided for you) and start working for yourself (be a boss, literally. And build an empire for yourself from the ground up.)

Both will make you more of a man whether you like it or not. Those changes in your personality will eventually be reflected in your physical appearance (meaning your overall style and the way you carry yourself.)
