Hey guys,
I have been seeing a girl for about the past 2 months.
We are not "boyfriend and girlfriend" but we might as well be... we hangout 2-3 times a week and the whole vibe is "we are together". Which is what I am looking for because she is a quality girl. (if she wanst i wouldn't be investing and she wouldnt be either)
Literally day 2 of our relationship she told me how she was going to be doing an internship for 3 months in a different state (which is about a 4 hour plane ride away) for her last leg of her doctorate degree. She is leaving next week!!
We havent had the "talk" yet about what we are... because why complicate things? but I really do value our relationship at this point and see a future together. I also plan on visiting her when on spring break because ill be near her (this was planned to see my buddy, not her, and it just works out that shes close to him)
She will also be returning to the area after the 3 months so its not like she's going to stay out there forever...
**Also, she is emotionally invested in me for the obvious reasons
Which brings me to my question.
Any thoughts on how to handle this situation? I really dont want to come off as the guy whos trying to "lock her down" before she leaves... but like I said we are getting to the point of defining the relationship. Should I just ignore and let her bring that up and just play it cool? How would you guys handle this?
Thanks again!
Duke
