| Hey guys,
Earlier tonight as I was waiting for the bus back to my dorm, I started talking to this cute Asian. We just made some regular small talk, I was making her a laugh a little bit and got her smiling a lot. As we continued talking, a friend of hers came along, and we all got onto the bus together.
They started talking about some event called Asian Night. I asked what was it was exactly. Then she asked if I was going, with a smile on her face. (Since she had already asked where I was from, what year I was in, and what I was studying, I took this as another IOI. ) I said I was thinking about it, and she said I could get cheaper tickets in advance.
Soon, we got off the bus together. Before we were about to say goodnight and go our separate ways, I asked her if she wanted to exchange numbers and get lunch sometime. Up until this point she was smiling at me a lot, but at this question her demeanor changed greatly. She stopped smiling, said her phone dead, and that I could add her on Facebook instead. So, she gave me her full name and I put it into my phone. Then, we said goodnight.
I'm not sure where I stand here. My guess is not so good because she just could have given me her number, so I don't have high hopes when I message her on Facebook for much of anything to happen.
My question is: where do I stand? What did I do right, what did I do wrong, and what could I have done differently to improve the situation?
Also, in general, is it always a bad thing if a girl gives you her Facebook instead of her number?
Thanks.
