Hey guys, I've heard a lot of mixed criticism and idk what to believe when it comes to my issue. Here is a post I made, about me trying to reach my goal of a six pack. Here' some pics followed with some info on me: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthrea ... 1165936303

I want to know if I should bulk of cut? Honestly, what's best for me cause I'll be spending a lot of time to achieve it.

Exercise is very important to improve health and fitness. Go for running, walking at least 30 to 45 minutes in a day. Practice push ups, bench press, chair squats, cable stretching and band resistance. It make strong bones and muscles, boost energy, improve physical performance, improve heart functions and mental health and give you fit body.

I got it, but that doesn't answer my: bulk or cut issue?
And how would abs look if I cut?

I would bulk first, especially as it's clear you have the discipline to cut when you want to.

Wrong!!!
Bulking involves caloric surplus unless you know how to effectively recomposition without steroids, if you do then you should play professional sports because you are one of the few genetic freaks on this earth, i doubt you are.

You see once you your body reaches a new threshold for fat it will fight to keep you there its natures way of saving our predecessors from the harsh winters we had to bulk up for in the winter-or die skinny in the winter, fat is energy stored and it has the amazing ability to multiply and divide yet is able to resist liposys aka fat death, fat cells cannot be destroyed unless under extreme circumstances or liposuction, the best diets and workout routines can only Shrink fat cell size but will never completely illuminate.

Secondly, the lower your bodyfat level the better your body is at distributing food to muscles and repartions them better to avoid fat storage most likely due to the increased insulin sensitivity in the muscle brought upon by less fat cells.

Thats why its a horrible idea to bulk first

I have to agree as I'm anti-bulking myself. I really think bulking is an excuse to eat bad. I'm not perfect but I know that much. The truth is that for most dude's there's just no quick fix for a six pack. It takes awhile and if you get off the accelerator you can lose it quick. I don't know what you do for your ab workout but I use the P90x ab ripper. It's 15 minutes long and I do it after my workouts 3 days a week. I made huge improvements, but the key is to have lower body fat. Hope that helps, but as you're seeing everyone has an opinion.

Exactly bulking is for those with a solid clean diet plan that are looking to add muscle mass not weight there's a huge difference.

Hello,


I was a personal trainer and weight management counselor for 4 years so this is a topic I know extremely well. I disagree on bulking and eating bad 100%. If you know what you're doing you can pack on mass fast. There is a book (I'm sure you can find it in pdf format easily online) super squats by Randall J. Strossen, Ph.D. awesome book and a quick read, the only downside is you may outgrow your clothes so you may not want to follow it for 6 weeks. I do my own programing that is a crossfit/power lifting program. If you guys want to know I can always post my routine/diet plan.

Now as far as cutting, I don't suggest you listen to anyone on this feed that mentioned something along the lines of going for a run. CROSSFIT, CROSSFIT AND MORE CROSSFIT is the answer. Now first you may be skeptical saying it's too extreme or I heard people get hurt doing that...This is mostly from the oly lifts (clean/snatch) you don't necessarily need to do these movements and I don't suggest them If you have no background in them or someone monitoring you that knows the lifts. And I agree crossfit is expensive, but there are so many body weight workouts you can do at home. Which are great for cutting fat and they are fast. In order to cut fat fast I suggest doing burpees. The 2012 Crossfit Open workout is a bitch! 7 minutes of as many burpees as possible I incorporate a few times a week along with other crossfit wods.

Well dont count calories as a way to estimate whats good for you or not. Its about what you eat that is important. Try going Vegan or a Paleo diet using the correct servings.
Remember that diet is just as important as the work out.
