A lot of guys have this problem. We keep thinking, and thinking and thinking and we never seem to stop! We want to find a way to let go of our minds. To stop using it when we don't need to.

Don't get me wrong, the mind is a great tool to solve a problem, but it's a tool, and like any tool, we have to put it to rest. You're not gonna walk with a hammer in your hand for the rest of your life. That would hurt.

You can do this by meditating, or focusing on an object, activity, etc...

But I found another way to do it.

All you have to do is think of something really nasty. So nasty that you will want to prefer to stay out of your head. The idea is to make unnecessary thinking PAINFUL.

And yes, i've tried it out. It works.

However you might say "I think it's good to think. You can solve problems that way ."

That is true, but I'm talking about compulsive thinking, which you don't need to do, so I'm going to show you how to get rid of it the right way:

Whenever you're home alone and you catch yourself thinking about that neighbor of yours that won't leave you alone, or how your dog barks too much, or that baby kangaroo that you've always wanted to buy, then think of something really nasty. This makes you warp back to the present instantly. It also makes me feel better to be in the present since it helps me realize none of my thoughts are real. This helps me dissasociate myself from my mind using negativity since it's too painful to think at those moments.

it's hard to explain, but try it out.

Try it out. Right now. And I hope this helps. Tell me if it works.

I already read it and have applied the techniques from that book.

But I wanna start experimenting a little bit so i thought of that technique.

I usually just lay in my bed and stop thinking, I relax... ALOT. And it just goes off. I stop caring about the past or the future, idc about anything but enjoying random shit at that moment.

OKAY, SCRATCH MY OTHER POST.

I just found out an even better alternative.

Thinking means doing nothing.
If you do nothing, nothing will happen.
Now you wanna do something don't you? GO.


Mainly: If you do nothing, nothing happens. (Yeah, it's kinda obvious, but you'll be shocked for the results.)

You are NOT supposed to stop thinking completely.

The trick to pickup is to start becoming Conscious and not Self-Conscious. Be conscious of your surroundings and other people.

Once you are self-conscious and let negative thoughts creep into your head your mind will prevent you from accessing your alpha male part of your personality.

My technique for becoming conscious and living outside of my head is very simple..

VISUALIZE EVERYTHING YOU SAY.

Once you start visualizing everything you say you wont give your brain the opportunity to start thinking negatively. Annnnd.... when you visualize what you say humor will come to you much more easily , as you will easily be able to manipulate the visualization of what you say into something really funny.
