I have been working out for more than 20 years, and i am like oprah get big then get ripped back to big(bit overwheight 10-20 pounds), but i finally think i got this stuff right, remember i am over 35 but i still look better than 90% of the guys at the clubs, and in this forum, trust me on that...You do not want to look like a BODYBUILDER, women are not attracted to that shit, other dudes are attracted to that, but not women.
First no matter what workout you follow you will not get fit unless the nutrition is in place is 90% nutrition, it takes 2-3 days of working out to recover from a "Cheat meal"...

now that we got out of the way, yes i posted it 3 times is that
IMPORTANT i will give you a simple path, remember my name is skills(A skill is the learned capacity to carry out pre-determined results often with the minimum outlay of time, energy, or both)
here we go:
you will do body for life(super simple method the original) by wade phyllips for 3 months, this will give you motivation because you will see changes IMMEDIATELY, which in turn will keep you motivated, now this are the changes i will make to body for life,
1.- every 3 weeks change the exercises.
2.- after the first month instead of a cheat day, change to half a cheat day
3.-after the second month change to a cheat meal
Then you will do p90X(for 3 months) but follow the body for life nutrition plan or similar since is easier, and TRY NOT TO CHEAT(it may happen but try not to), and if you cheat please don't let it be fast food or pizza...NO ALCOHOL(false confidence you do not need that shit)
then You will do insanity(by beach body) for 2 months, their nutrition plan is simple as well, but i still like the body for life nutrion plan better.
Then you will do p90x/insanity hybrid(for the rest of your life if you want to), i like the hybrid that team ripped has on their website....
http://teamripped.com/
my method is for people that want to get in shape mainly to lose weight gain muscle...
Supplements i really love "super hd" by cellucor is just AWESOME to get ripped
If you are skinny dude: Testosterone busters, and creatine...
With that being said, i have never done it, but most mma dudes i know do crossfit and the look amazing, I believe croosfit may the best existing stuff out there, but i don't do it...
If you do p90x that shit may get boring so the way to get around that is to print the exercises, and in your computer or ipod whatever listen to audiobooks(i use audiable.com), or youtube channnels(i usually put rsd channel or simple pick up etc...) if not is kind of boring that is the way to get around that..
Powerblocks: i workout from home i use this dumbells:

the best time to workout is in the morning, that way is your priority, make that a habit, before work, get up 1.5 hours extra early, i rather die than loss a day at the gym(that should be your attitude, say that 10 times everyday)
Out!
P.S. Otis do not pupu my post please...
Ill agree with the diet aspect. I crack up when people say "you can eat whatever you want as long as you exercise" LOL
If that were true, id have no problem maintaining my weight. Anybody who says "i dont really worry about my diet, I just exercise, is not going to lose weight, but often, they think they are in shape and slim. They arent lol
I know first hand that you can exercise till your joints fall apart, if you dont watch your diet you will stay fat and/or get fatter.
The reason being is exercise isnt that effective at burning calories. If you ever look at a chart of what exercise burins off what calories, you will see even the most intense exercise only burns 500-600 calories per hour. and thats an hour every day, and high intensity.
Now if you eat 2000 calories a day, and you only burn off 500 with this exercise three or four times a week, theres still 3 or 4 days you aint burning shit.
So really most people do casual exercise that maybe burns 300-400 calories per session, which if u really watch what you eat, makes a difference, but if you dont, it makes no difference at all, but is still good for you.
if you cant be faithful to a diet everyday one thing that works is carb rotating. You eat no carbs for 4 or 5 days, and then go off it for 2 or 3, and it works, and it elimijnates alot of problems with low carb diet, mostly, u get to eat normally a few times a week.
Plus you dont lose muscle like you do on low carb all the time.
Give it a shot with exercise.
