I gave gaming on Twitter a go tonight and I think I worked it perfectly!
I've been following this girl for a few months now (she had followed back on the same day) but we hadn't ever tweeted each other. As you'll see, I gained all the info I needed to build a connection with her through her Tweets & pics.
It's very important to mention these things in a way that doesn't seem creepy or like you've checked alllllll her tweets.

Five minutes later she texted me saying "Hii it's girlsname
x" from which I took the opp to ask her what some of her favourite bands are, whilst mentioning I like 30 Seconds To Mars and that i'd seen them the previous summer
[I'd seen from pictures on her Twitter that she had been at the event too]. She then impressed me by saying she had met a couple of guys from the band once, talked about the bands she liked and asked the question back.
The plan is to text her bit by bit over the next week or so and then arrange a coffee/drink meet-up/date.
