I am a skilled Public Speaker and I have read several books on Body Language. I command respect and attention everywhere I go, and I am only 5'8. I AM GREAT AT THIS. At my jobs, my bosses start treating me like I'm THIER boss and end up telling everyone what to do.
1. SPEAK LOUD. If you want respect you must speak louider than everyone around. This will cause them to look at you as the leader. Leaders ALWAYS speak louder than the followers. This is because they must be heard. Who speaks louder? teachers or students? The sergeant or the privates? The police officer or the criminal? The doctor or the nurse.
Speak louder and watch how everyone shuts up and listens to you. Watch how everyone does what you say!
2. SAY IT LIKE IT'S ALREADY BEEN DECIDED. Leaders make the decision. Don't try to find out how to get people to listen to your decision. JUST MAKE IT. When group is trying to figure out whter they want to go to the movies or a pizza place MAKE YOUR DECISION. TAKE CHARGE. Assume leadership and you will blown away at how many poeple follow. You will blown away, becasue some of the people who seem cooler, are older, or bigger than you will follow your lead.
So few people are confident enough to lead, because they are scared that they make the wrong decision and everyone will get upset.
THE KEY: Be leader. Tell yourself in your head over and over again. "I'm a leader."
When you lead, followers come running from everywhere! There are more tips but it would take too long to type. These are two that will really help.
