Hey bro
I don't know much about PUA, but my life is weight training, and the advice given in regards to weight loss in this thread is just terrible
There's no cookie-cutter diet you can give to have someone healthily lose weight. Likewise, advising someone to run "a few times a day" is assinine, unless that person plans on being an endurance athlete.
Body composition is made through diet, weights, and (if needed) cardio. I would recomend joining a gym (if you aren't in one already), and following a very basic routine. Something to the effect of:
Tuesday - squat, ham curl, calf raise
Thursday - incline dumbell bench, closegrip bench, overhead press
Sunday - deadlift, barbell row, chins (or pulldowns if you can't do chins)
The other part of the puzzle is nutrition. I really believe calorie-counting and set diets are a bad idea. The only way you'll stick to it is with a flexible, tasty diet. I'd just get an appreciation for what you're putting into your body; whole grains, meats (steak, home made burgers, chicken, turkey, fish, etc), eggs, veges, fruits, nuts/seeds, etc.
A fat-free diet is fucking moronic (sorry to sugar coat it so much

). Fats help regulate horemones, brain function, and a host of other benefits. You should source most of your fats from "good fats" - nuts, seeds, oily fish, avacados.
I hope some of this made sense. If you're looking to lose weight, start by eating a varied, nutritious diet, with 5-6 smaller meals per day.
If something wasn't clear, or you want some links to better explain it just let me know.
