I realise that this post probably relates to a topic below, but basically Im currently trying to gain in mass and get out of my skinny frame, I know what path I need to take and have access to the gym/right equipment etc. I also know protein drinks and all the body enhancement stuff go along with this, yet some of their taste is absolutely awful. Can anyone recommend any decent tasting brands or alternatives that won't make you want to puke?

I used to be skinny too. Trust me, protein shakes DO get easier. Choose an effective shake (that is proven to work) and stick to it. When I started I gagged every time, now its easy and I dont notice the flavour. Have some juice prepared to drink immediately after the shake, this will drown out the taste. I filled out well. I went to the gym 4 times a week, 2 shakes a day and could totally tell after a few weeks.

If you only care about taste, most people agree that MuscleMilk is the best tasting protein supplement. It comes in almost thirty different flavors and the product is of good quality.

Forget supplements. They are expensive and there are cheaper better things out there for a beginner.

I'm a collegiate wrestler and supplements are just that. THEY SUPPLEMENT your diet.

In fact, they are only useful when the foundations of your meal plan and exercise regime have already been refined.

Eat meat. Eat oats. Eat buckets of wholemeal pasta. Drink gallons of milk.

Look up GOMAD diet. Look up starting strength by Mark Rippetoe.
