Hey guys, so tonight I went to the bar for the first time after studying as much as I could about pua. One thing I underestimated was the music/noise. I'm fine with speaking one-on-one by talking into the girl's ear, but when approaching a set how do you talk over the music so that everyone in the set hears your opener? Even if they all leaned in (which they rarely did) not all of them could hear, which loses the opener effect. Or do must pua go to bars that play quiet music?

There is a section in the original mystery method book that deals with the music.

- dont lean in to try and talk over the music make her lean toward you
-use the loud music as a perfect way to bounce to perhapes the smoking patio, or back room

I have also recently read that musicians for some reason have a much higher ability to comprehend words in loud situations. start a band perhapes :)

i agree, except that is only when you are talking to her one-on-one. I'm asking about the opener when you try to get everyone in the set to listen to you.

The more you go, the easier it becomes. Its a combination of your hearing adapting and you learning to read lips a little better. Watch the bartenders, they are really good at hearing/seeing the quietest of peoples' orders!

I play in a band as a drummer / guitarist, and i work on oil rigs (very loud places if you didnt know), so basically my hearing is shot.. as a band member you spend a lot of time with the same small group of people and you learn what each band member is trying to say by the way the look / mouth it..
aaand! when im playing guitar, in your mind you know what the song you are playing sounds like so you blank it out and communicate much more effecitvly because your playing goes into autopilot..

Back to the question, i suggest quiet places to practice the most effective sarging, then like Crowd writes, it gets easier the more you go (to the louder places) - and if you know how the targets will react (as you have rehersed it with others) you know what to look out for!

Also! another cheeky tip - when you are in a sweaty smelly nightclub, make sure you have some of your aftershave / cologne applied into your ears!! (just around the cartlidge bit) remember, she'll be leaning in to talk to you; so she'll be greeted with a plesent aroma of seduction - and chances are any good smell that was on your neck has been sweated off! - but ears don't sweat :D

Best of Luck mate!
