When increasing strength you want to lift heavier weights with less reps. Try lifting with higher reps first, 8, 6, 4, then 2 or something, as close to failure as you can get on each set.
For chest do Flat Bench, & Incline barbell presses, these are 'compound exercises' so you're working multiple muscles at the same time. Incline will make you look fuller and increase your strength in flat bench too. Get social at the gym and ask for someone to spot you so you get the most out of it,
always. Also do decline press if you want for lower chest to balance out.
Learn more exercises for your Back day. Doing LATS and SHOULDER will make your body look much bigger too. I like working my TRAPS because it looks impressive. Don't forget your LEGS - Try deadlift & squats eventually (works your back too

The day after your workouts you should do cardio for basketball. =)
For added bonus make sure you take 100% WHEY (low carb) protein. Take Glutamine, and Creatine - this will help you get bigger and not be so sore, it also gives endurance boost.
