Hey guys,
Yesterday I joined a new gym with pretty much everything you could want. Would love some general advice on how to get the best from my work outs (1-2 times week along with 2 x 2hour bball sessions).
My main goals are to improve strength for bball, get wider shoulders and a bigger chest and improve leg strength.

I would suggest checking out some other forums like leanbulk.com , or anabolicminds.com and post what you just said there.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm is a good site for finding exercises.

When increasing strength you want to lift heavier weights with less reps. Try lifting with higher reps first, 8, 6, 4, then 2 or something, as close to failure as you can get on each set.

For chest do Flat Bench, & Incline barbell presses, these are 'compound exercises' so you're working multiple muscles at the same time. Incline will make you look fuller and increase your strength in flat bench too. Get social at the gym and ask for someone to spot you so you get the most out of it, always. Also do decline press if you want for lower chest to balance out.

Learn more exercises for your Back day. Doing LATS and SHOULDER will make your body look much bigger too. I like working my TRAPS because it looks impressive. Don't forget your LEGS - Try deadlift & squats eventually (works your back too :))

The day after your workouts you should do cardio for basketball. =)

For added bonus make sure you take 100% WHEY (low carb) protein. Take Glutamine, and Creatine - this will help you get bigger and not be so sore, it also gives endurance boost. Also take Arginine - it's another amino acid that your body uses to build your muscles up when you need it after workouts. All this stuff is natural, my man. Have a good workout!

You have got to be kidding me.

The supplements I suggested are already in your body, you're just increasing them for better result.

RVAIS doesn't know what he's talking about.

In your body, in your urine. If you like pissing money down the drain literally, keep buying supplements. I just try to show people the light if they turn away thats their lose. Read the fine print on supplement bottles, if the FDA would regulate supplements alot of them would be off the market. You can put on muscle on a starvation diet look it up.

Train -> Recover -> Grow

Eat sensible.

Do your research Nightfall.
