Alright, for kicks on POF I used the "whoa, perfect game" opener. The couple times I've used it (default when I can't think of something better to say) it's worked well. But this time the response is just hilarious. If I can understand her correctly, which I think I do, she has taken it for serious.

Me:

After careful consideration of your profile, I would just like to let you know that I have already married and divorced you in my head.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful memories.. you'll always have a spot in my heart.

Your ex-hubby, Anth.

PS: You can keep the cats, but I'm going to need half your money according to our prenup.

Like now.

Haha, so broke and wanting money from chicks is your dig huh?

Or better yet, underestimating people before you meet them is supposed to be a huge
"I want to talk to you factor?"

For one i get the feeling like your stereotyping a complete stranger...so your welcome
for the profile...interesting you felt inclined to say anything.

I'm laughing my butt off because I think she's upset by what I said instead of taking it how most do. But I'm wondering how to respond? Should I continue along as if she hasn't taken a shit fit, or just tell her off because she clearly has no sense of humour?

------------
edit - This is my idea for a response. What do you think?
Quote:
ROAAAAAR! I love it. Out of the cage breathing fire. MMM MMM! Are you like this all the time? This is one of the better responses I've gotten.

For your satisfaction, my message was meant to be taken in a jokingly, non-threatening way. Call me oblivious but you didn't seem to enjoy the humour. It could be that our styles are different, or that your understanding of comedy is lacking.

Now, what exactly is it that I understimate of you... What's your net worth? Can you name all 50 states? How much can you bench press? RONNIE COLEMAN, IS THAT YOU?

Do you really want to continue explaining yourself through the interactions, to end up with a girl like this? Really?

I suppose you're right. But I can't just leave the message un-answered! I want to at least antagonize more. It's in my nature to do so (with humour though).

I'll send my response and see what happens.

I more viewed this as a her being bitchy and yet throwing you a shit test. One of the things I have found with online dating is that girls that are damage goods tend to show it online. And they should be pretty much be avoided. I bet she will either block you and/or reply with another bitch message.

I'd also say she's being bitchy and just throwing you a shit test. Seems to me like she understood the message but didn't take it as a Joke because she probably didn't find it too funny or amusing.

Send the response u've got there but I'm not too keen explaining yourself.

I think she may have taken offense to the form letter and not responding to anything she said on her profile.

I like the first line of your response. SUper funny. On my end I might drop the 2 neg paragraphs. Maybe go with one. Or let her off the hook and change the mood and go for some rapport.

Don't let her set the tone. You do that.

Great post!!!

OK a cheap trick, leave the message she last sent open for a few days, she sees it has been read, and the lack of reply will give her a self satisfaction that she showed some asshat up.

To me, she laid down a challenge, and like you i could not walk away even if i was not interest in her anymore.

personally i would stay in a semi-role playing frame and confuse her, throw her off balance.

"So what, we are getting divorced and now i become a stranger? You have forgotten me already, thats rude! I cant believe you would underestimate me like that! You keep this attitude up, we will never work things out and ill keep the cats!

Oh yea, i want the keys to my house and cars back untill you can be nice!"

Thing is, no matter what happens, you can have fun with the conversation as long as you dont put much stock in the outcome!
