dressing code is very important man. And it does affect on how gurls look at you. They respect you more if you dress good and groomed well.

You guys who are saying appearance don't matter are missing the point its not that dressing right doesn't matter as much as actual game itself the point is its not a minus. It will only further help improve your game not just by how you project yourself but how others see you. First impression as they say is long lasting and a guy who looks sharp/creative will always have a better first impression than the guy who is wearing normal stuff. Also the mental factor that it gives you making you feel more good about yourself I don't know about you guys but when I haven't groomed my hair or cleaned my room in awhile it feels really good after I actually do it. This kind of feeling will only help you in the long run.

One of my good friends who's into PU suggested I get a decent pair of dress shoes, so I think shoes are definitely close to the top. I've currently got some black sneakers that I think look good for wearing all the time, but I guess not?

So what do you guys recommend for "everyday" PUA foot gear? Pics would be helpful for a shoe-noob like me.

Yeah, a lot depends on the context. I think one of the most important things mentioned here was what Starbuck said about dressing appropriate for where you are and the people you're surrounded by. That's not to say dress the same, but you should be striving to be the best dressed within the general style of that environment. Years ago, I went to Mardi Gras with a few buddies and we were all dressed up sharp; we get there and everyone is wearing torn jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts. Needless to say, everyone thought we were gay, and we had to dress down the next day...

As for your question about shoes, I don't know what kind of sneakers you have. However, if they're just Nikes from Foot Locker or something, they probably won't cut it past khakis. Kenneth Cole Reaction does some really nice sneaker/dress shoe combos that are cool, and I think you could sport them in jeans all the way up to a (really) casual suit.

At the very least you should own two pairs: one black, one brown. For me, I have two pairs of sneakers, two pairs of "nice" shoes for work, clubs, nice dates, etc., and two pairs of dress shoes for suits. I also own a few other pairs for different stuff (nice flip flops for summer, gym shoes, etc.), but those six are my regular rotation. Also, if you're athletic, DON'T use the same sneakers that you train in to go out.

I'm thinking on adjusting my 'avatar' a bit.

At the moment I'd be wearing when I go out:
- Black leather shoes (Geox) not to classic, quite modern.
- Jeans
- A t-shirt with a print, in blue, grey, khaki (nothing bright)
- a black leather jacket with sorta batches woven into it, they're black... (god I love that jacket especially since it was dirt-cheap)
- sometimes a black military style cap.
- a white belt noone really sees.

now, I rarely see anyone with the same look, tho I reckon I don't really stand out in a crowd. And more and more leather jackets seem to coming back, over here in Belgium anyway. I remember a few years back you hardly saw leather jackets.

so I'm poundering over a new 'set' for this season, next to some accessoires, an idea I have:

a black/white pinstripe blazer over a white t-shirt with a heavy print, slimmer jeans (not the kinda baggy I usually wear) that looks worn, white sneakers.

Money is offcourse limited, but I know where to look for those things at reasonable prices.

What I'm wondering if this is a good way to go, or is my sense of fashion a disaster?
