i think being a pua you have to know your fashion like names and brands and what hot and whats not because girls know and pay attention to these kind of things so when they see a guy who dresses like he knows his fashion its a instant subtle DHV but the KEY to making it subtle is to wear the stuff like its a everyday run of the mill clothing item

here some brands that help me get attention
Ed Hardy
Christian Audigier (especaily this one its tattoo art girls love it instantly makes u look Alpha)
Armani Exchange
Puma
Affliction
Sean John

Basically ne high fashion brand name it might cost a lot but I'm telling you the girls WILL notice heck EVERYONE will notice

In some ways i agree and in other ways i dont. Sure some people notice and pay attention to brand.

However, as an example, in my AFC days i lived with a buddy who dressed to kill. Armani Exchange, CK, stuff like that. He even wore a $20,000 watch (he is well to do and his father owns some watch shops). Me on the other hand id walk around campus in pajama pants and a cutoff ripped old t-shit with crappy off brand flip flops. People would walk right by him and talk to me.

Id actually goto college parties like that, while he'd be dressed nicely. i also didnt shave or comb my hair, he was well kept.

He had a girl friend, i was dateing 3 girls at the same time...and this was without any knowledge of the game. We both had a car and an apartment so niether of us had an advantage there...and our personalities are much alike.

There was a certain type of girl more intrested in him then me at the time, but my point is the apearence you have is only a DHV if its congruent with the venue your in. In college flip flops and goofy, 'i dont care' looks are better then dressy stylish looks, at least i found it to be that way.

Once your a bit older and going to bars/clubs that are upscale...then brand is about = look. I dress well, some of the stuff is name brand and some of it is not...and i get complimented just as much on the off brand stuff as the name brand.

I think it all depends on how you wear your clothes. As long as you are comfortable and confident, women will notice you. For example, I like to iron my shirts before I go out somewhere. My buddies tried to tell me that was gay, but when I do it, I go out with the attitude, "I know I look good." People tend to notice this.

If a girl doesn't want to hang out with you just because you don't wear top of the line clothes, she isn't worth your time. As long as you believe you look good, you can wear anything and cause attraction.

How about you stop trying to be a pathetic walking billboard? Realize that looking stylish doesn't equal how cool the brand you're wearing is.

I myself strive not to wear any branded clothes or with logos as imo they look silly.

Lol Ace you're wearing a fur coat.

I do agree about brand name clothing though. I want the girl to like me, not my Armani.

As much as I respect your opinion, I have to disagree (generally). It all depends on the woman you are trying to pick up. Most women I've ever been with have said that clothing choice and style matters. Now, I'm not one to go out and spend $1,000 on a watch (I dont wear jewlery) but I'm also not one to go out looking like I'm 15. On most younger girls (whether in HS or college) the whole laid back ,"I dont care what anyone thinks of me" style works. But if you are going to go for HB 9-10's ,they will rarely go for that. You dont even have to have the most expensive stuff, as long as you've got a good sense of style.

It is not about the brand of clothes you wear, it is about your confidence and way you carry yourself to which people take notice first. Sure, clothes do play a part but not even close.
My friend Stas who I rarely see, owns a gas station and he's loaded. He has his own 4 bedroom house, bikes and a nice car and he's only 24. He wears all the expensive brand name clothes and expensive watches and whenever we go out I'm the one getting numbers, not him. I dress above average but it's the way I carry myself and how I talk to girls.

maybe i should have worded my post a little better...what you guys are saying is true it isn't about the brand its about how you present and hold yourself

what i should have said was these brands are excellent peacocking brands that will help you stand out in the crowd for neone who is need of help of finding clothing that will help in that sense because these brands are very colorful and flashy and tattoo art is very trendy right now, but it is important to remember it isn't about the brand but how you present and hold yourself...this is just a suggestion for anyone looking for brands that will help them stand out because they work for me but everyone has there own individual style

i wear alot of A&F, A/X, hollister, polo. i would think that if u can wear a/x to class its a big DHV but i usually dont, i need to pull out the a/x some more its been a while. but yea i find that it doesnt matter, unless u can make it look good, like i fill out my shirts well so i find that helps, and i wear humor tees which get alot of attention, i love it.

Cavalli - Worst website design ever.

I wear mostly A&F and A/X. I also have some Express and Hollister. However, the only clothes I buy from A&F are the ones I can get 50% off (employee discount for season change, regular is 30%). Otherwise, I don't buy their stuff. I like A/X, it fits me well and works well with layers. They sell black (A&F doesn't), so I can work with that too. I get compliments on my A/X clothing all the time, it isn't overworn around here (actually most people don't own any A/X). Their sale stuff isn't that expensive, sometimes they have some nice deals.

However, even though I wear these brands, does not mean I will automatically get the girl. You still need to know how to present yourself, and DON'T OVERDRESS. A buddy of mine wore an A/X button up (the only piece of A/X he owns) to rush week at a college nearby. Some people actually asked why he was so dressed up, he looked kinda out of place.

AX is cheap and crappy. Its the cheap version of Armani. If you want to DHV, then get the top of the line ARMANI not ARMANI EXCHANGE. They are completely different. A&F or AX is not worth braging about.

Ok thanks, if you think spending $100+ on a T-shirt is cool then go for it...

Most real Armani shirts are around $500+ for their button ups.....

I dont think $100.00 is bad for a t-shirt, especially for an Ed Hardy. HB9-10's know brand names. But if your an ugly guy then I guess it doesnt really matter what you wear.

As you can tell by my avatar, I'm not ugly. And by "real Armani", what extension of his name are you speaking of? Giorgio? Emporio Armani? Collezioni? There isn't one "Armani" brand, its the company that holds many labels.

And yes, women do know fashion. But they also know when someone is trying too hard, which can easily happen when wearing Ed Hardy or Affliction. It screams "look at me!" in an unnecessary way. Even some A&F and A|X clothing do the same thing, but those will never be purchased by me.

I agree that peacocking labels works, but I'm not sure I agree with the ones listed. I have a couple of Ed Hardy hats but I can see the brand quickly going the way of Von Dutch... once everyone catches on it ceases to be cool. I can't see myself wearing them very much longer.

All in all you want to use brand names sparingly. Most of my outfits come from cheap places like H&M and I even wear a bunch of t-shirts from wal-mart but when I put everything together right and put on just one brand name accessory like my Dolche & Gabbana shoes (which chicks notice, believe me) then it looks like I paid a ton of money for my clothes without being flashy about it.
