So theres this girl from my econ class (big class~250 people) whos hella cute (9.5). So i spotted her at a dance, didn't really go up to her right away. She knows FOR SURE im from her class (since we were writing our econ midterm RIGHT before the dance in a room of ~50 people and i was the only guy with No hair, sitting relatively close to her, and she spotted me).
ANYWAY (as n00bish as the rest may seem, please excuse my AFC-ness), so i went up to her from the back and touched her on the shoulder, she turned her head around and i said "Hey, i never caught your name"...AND SHE TURNED HER BACK AROUND....and i just left (probs biggest mistake there, but i didn't know what else to do). There WAS a chance that she didn't hear me cuz of the loud music, i don't know.

K, that doesn't matter that i didn't get to dance with her, BUT, what the hell should I do when i see her next time in class?

Ouch man, I don't know what you can do next time you see her. But from what I've read and experienced

Usually you should go to a girl at an angle, as from behind might seem creepy and it's too easy to just ignore someone (turn back around like the girl did to you), while from straight in front of her seems too direct. Also in situations, Style or Mystery in The Game said that you should speak loudly when you open so they can't pretend not to hear you.

Next time you talk to her, make sure that you gave a girl on each arm to trigger those pre-selection switches so she is chasing you.

<---- also a newb.

I've always read and been taught to never approach from behind. That may have been where you went wrong?

If she is a 9.5 she is probably used to guys hitting on her so don't take it personal. Maybe she was into you but just shy ... and you did make the mistake of approaching her from behind.

... How to recover? I would use some group theory. I would start becoming very social with the other girls in your class ... laughing and joking and stuff ... making sure she sees. Remember you are punishing her for turning her back to you. However, you don't want to isolate her either. Make sure you still make sure to make eye contact out of the corner of your eyes from time to time ... with a slight smile. Your painting a picture .. your telling her that you are social and fun ... but at the same time you are still somewhat interested in her ... you are trying to make the decision if she is good enough to be with you.

If you feel things going well you could approach her by asking if she saw the fight at the club the other night. Then I would transition into something along the lines of asking for advice with a friends girl problem ... get her talking.

I like what Ice Cube said in his song "Check yourself." It goes: "Will I bust or keep you guess'n" What he is saying is ... I got my gun pulled out and aimed at your face and I got you thinking will I pull the trigger or not. My personal strategy has always been to keep the women guessing in the beginning ... does he like me or does he not? If you can position yourself that way you have control ... you are in the power position. Right now she is in the power position because you are wondering if she likes you.

Why you wait for the dance? Just talk to her in your econ class.

To answer questions on the top:
I'm usually late for class (LOL) so seats are full

I have a question regardin the fact that she was in a closed formation with her friends and how to approach that, but ill put that in another thread
