He had the group describe their job as something that is fun and interesting (I designed defense systems for the military, like the stealth bomber) instead of boring (software engineer).
I never put much thought into this previously, but I realized I have to make my job description sound better. I work in a law firm as a litigation analyst, which basically mean, I'm a IT guy in a law firm. The law firm is famous, in terms of law, but heck, 90% of the general public can't name a law firm if their life depended on it. So I'm kinda stuck trying to make it sound better.
Personally, I don't even bother to bring up this question. Problem is, I get asked by girls, a lot! So how do I make my job description sound more interesting? I know I can make up some outrageous lie (I'm a professional hopscotch player!), but I will end up eventually having to tell the truth. Any suggestions?

I never tell anyone what i really do. Keep it mysterious. My friends end up telling the girls what i do. (I own a modern furniture store.) Which the girls eat up. Monkey bar olympian, cat wrangler, or even professional hackey sack. Just something goofy to throw the girls off works because guys are always trying to say "I do this, I drive that..."
For your situation though...... You help put the bad guys behind bar and keep the inocent free...... Im sure some creative people on here can come up with some other stuff. _________________ success is my only mother fucking option, failure is not.

Most people my age still work at the super market and shit. I also work in that I do Web Development. Sometimes I can hook off that, I guess girls like web design. If you want to make your job sound cool though, start off with a attention grabbing generalization. I work for a online pharmaceutical company so I often say "oh, I sell drugs".
