I'm making this thread because i think there is so much shit advice out there about the "Alpha" male. I did not care about it until i've come across people "working" their alpha and seen the results.

For all experienced or beginners:
-alpha is not being an asshole
-alpha is not about not caring
-alpha is not about staring some guy in the eye until kingdome come or he looks away

Alpha is about being relaxed. It's about being comfortable with whatever the situation is, even if you feel offended. It's about making and having people around you look up to you as an example, in both behaviour and emotions. It's about being a leader and a leader is one that has to be accepted, not imposed. An "alpha" does not have a chip on his shoulders to get offended by different remarks.

Alpha is the nice guy that respects his own self respect (does not allow to be mistreated); and looks out for every one else.

If you are some "beta" looking to be seen as the cool guy, start with being helpful, being good, view life as an opportunity to help others. At the same time, respect and protect your self esteem.

What is the deal with PUA's having the need of people looking up to them? This whole alpha thing doesn't make a real difference when it comes to being attractive.

It's a marketing bs. Like you say it has nothing to do with alpha but the net is full of retards pua giving advice on being "alpha". Rats teachings rats how to be lions. The result is angry, vulnerable, fake, rats.

You said that it's about making and having people around you look up to you. This has been some of the weird talk that PUAs have been talking about since I've been here. Look at this guy because he also feels the need to have people looking up to him and he mentions it multiple times.
general-questions/every-artist-should-l ... 99991.html
It's pretty much in his first statement and it continues from there.

Being socially savvy is a good and attractive quality and it's easily spotted. Having people look up to you doesn't mean anything unless you are being introduced. I've never had a guy approach me and think to myself that he was someone I could look up to.

I mean most of us also ripped that thread apart as being nonsense. Not sure it's a pickup issue if people here are coming out saying it's nonsense.

The idea of alpha in pickup came from mystery method and similar models that claimed 100% of the criteria by which a woman decides to sleep with a man is based on status and value. Since that is not true, the alpha necessity goes out the window.

Yes, it was ripped apart and some real character flaws were pointed out on that guy. The problem to me is that this belief of being looked up to is important is even in this guy's way of thinking and he seems way more rational than Starboy.

I think it's an inferiority complex. I don't get it either.

IMO the problem is like i said, it's advice given by non "alpha" (rats) in how to be a "lion". It's therefore mostly BS. An alpha does not think about being a positive influence on the environment, he just is. It's a natural way of being and thinking that you are there to make things better, where you are, there is fun to be had, etc.

My point is that it starts from a positive atitude over yourself and also the environment that you are in, the "do not fuck with me" the "i'm a sexual being" and all the other "alpha" traits are a mere consequence of this.

The people that i've seen trying to be an alpha, are without exception betas that act like assholes. A true alpha is someone that can be with your sister and you want to go for beers with him :p

I know fuck all about pick up and i have a lot to learn from some of the people on this forum, but i can give some advice on what being a man is about, or how the betas call "Alpha". :)

Just be a beta, but by willingly being a beta you become alpha since you're comfortable as a beta.
