Sticking point: I am not the extroverted party type

One time, I took a personality test and came back 100% introverted. I have trouble even initiating a conversation when a girl is standing right next to me.

I think this is a bigger sticking point than any mental health issues.

I appear "shy" at the surface, but anyone that knows my past knows that I'm capable of being a psycho.

At the very least, I look very nonapproachable.

I see people in bars having more conversations in 10 minutes than I've had in the past 5 years.

And if I ever do have a conversation with a girl, my mind goes to sex/creepy almost right away.

A) introversion is not a weakness or mental disorder. It is a personality trait.

B) find a therapist for legit issues. Pickup is not a cure for anything except not getting laid.

You're not introverted. Someone/several people/your environment growing up has made you introverted.

You need new friends. New people around you. A new life where you can be a new person. You are letting other people (and stupid Internet personality tests) tell you who you are instead of deciding who you want to be for yourself.

Think about this.... everything you think about yourself isn't something you thought of. It's something someone told you to think about yourself. You put yourself in that box by allowing people to tell you who you are.

Stop letting those people influence your opinion of yourself. If that means cutting them out completely, do it. No matter how harsh it may seem to cut that relationship.

I don't speak to my own mother anymore because I'm sick of her trying to tell me who I should and shouldn't be. It's your life. Take control of your life and you'll start to actually be happy.

Introversion is a personality trait. I don't think it applies to the op because being introverted does not mean being shy or socially inept, but nobody makes you an actual introvert.

My first post actually said introversion is not a flaw (it's not) and told him therapy is the best option (I still think it is). Granted your only advice is to lift weights and BE ALPHA BRO ALPHA WARRIOR! All while hoping to con people to your site and laugh a letter material for money. At least I'm not a cliche pickup guru wannabe con artist.
