Do you really have to not care about the girls you are talking to and not like them?

The great Mystery himself emphasizes this in his book. You must have no emotional dependency on the outcome. It's almost like it should mean nothing to you.

Yet at the same time, you can read about him locked up in mental hospitals when a girl he was dating leaves him.

Thoughts?

I can't imagine truly not caring about a girl that gets involved with me, if that were to ever happen. It seems impossible. Do I have to turn into a cold, emotionless person to handle this?

Mystery is outdated.

Ofcourse you have to like her and she wants to feel desired, what you want to avoid is putting her on a pedestal and yes getting attached to the outcome of dating/opening somebody you don't know is bad.

One time I saw him on YouTube get right in a girls face and say "Listen, Missy! I don't know who you think you are, but I'm not gonna take that shit from you!!"

It's hilarious to watch him "in the field."

I'm telling you, his gimmickry is outdated and feels so fake.

Not saying he would not pull women, but I don't believe for shit he can land than many smart, emotionally stable, high confidence women.

Yes, I've also seen him on YouTube get outplayed by businessmen in suits and basically look like a fool. Although I do believe that he has "dated" 122+ beautiful women as he says.

His baby's momma is not all that hot, though.
