So earlier this year I purchased Brent Smith's ebook and one of his selling point's is "A Lazy Man's Guide To..." So I was intrigued, I fell for the sales pitch (I know a lot of guys say you don't need to buy products) but I swear it was enlightening reading after getting round to reading the first portion of it. (Also as a disclaimer I don't want to advertise his products or anything I'm just baffled with how controversial and counter-intuitive this stuff is)

You may have heard of the Law of Attraction and The Secret, that new age manifestation garbage that psycho chicks tend to believe in lol. Well, Brent teaches how to infuse inner-game with Law of Attraction to, of course, improve your attraction skills. It's actually more elegant and sophisticated than I've explained but it's so simple. At least, what I've interpreted so far.

Basically, you write down all your problems eg. I'm too old, I'm too poor, I'm too ugly, Women never talk to me. But then what? Surely this doesn't attract women? Well, Brent tells you to STOP PURSUING WOMEN!! You then take all your problems and 'reframe' them (in Brent's words 'write a positive opposite') eg. I'm the perfect age for the women I desire, I have enough money to be and do all the things I want, I'm handsome in a classical way which women of my type find attractive, Women talk to me everywhere I go and women of my type always want me!!

This is similar to the stuff many other PUA Gurus teach. So what's the big difference? Although I've not finished reading the book the Law of Attraction of Attraction stuff I wanted to write about is what Brent teaches directly after this. The reframing exercise should be done at length until you are happy with the outcome and you should have a page or a few passages of 'positive opposites'. You then read this out aloud to yourself in the morning and at night every day. Again, this is something a lot of other dating instructors recommend in the form of affirmations, Brent just turned it into another step of his inner game routine.

You MUST practice your 'positive affirmations/story' every day without any days off, Brent advises to practice it in the mirror and with lots of emotion. Now, by this point, if you're familiar with pick up literature (if you can call it that) you will realise that this seems nothing new too. Yet, the thing is Brent teaches this in alignment with the Law of Attraction. It is essentially the Law Of Attraction of Attraction. What it is is you have to become a believer in your 'positive story' to the point of total conviction until it becomes natural. Before long, you will memorise these affirmations/story and you will be able to practice it day in day out as many times as you like.

The correlation with Law Of Attraction literature is the 'belief factor'. You MUST BELIEVE. The key factors to make this 'lazy guy technique' become fruitful is to actually do it. Why do I say this? Well, since I've written my 'positive opposites' I've read it out aloud, twice in the morning, on two separate days, not at night (was too tired), and I just put it to the side and forgot about it. This will NOT work for me.

I'm guessing (and if you just read the above critically/sceptically) that both you and I 'probably' don't buy this technique to be useful for attracting women. The fact is, if you do not do it with 100% conviction, consistently (as prescribed) then you will not get the right results. And if you don't believe it will work, it probably won't. Alternatively, if you DO IT and BELIEVE IT and you do it as instructed would you get the desired results?

Brent calls the above technique 'The Mirror Technique' because you are supposed to practice it in the mirror. Question: Is this just another form of mental masturbation? Is it really possible to manifest an abundant dating life? I'm sure some of you would be happy to discuss this Law Of Attraction of Attraction idea, hence, why I shared.

Some personal thoughts on inner-game and the Law Of Attraction:-

Reframing situations to better change the perception in order to manifest reality differently (situations in the future). For example, you get soft rejected and in your mind, you say to yourself "She can't stop checking me out!!" = Next time you are in that situation 'chick' checks you out instead of soft rejecting you.

Instead of buying pick up products focus on building better lifestyle eg. health/fitness, social circle, activities/groups you attend, building better relationships that you are already partaking in (Parents, Siblings, Mentors, Friends, Children/Relatives), volunteering at animal shelters/nursing homes, becoming fluent in bars and clubs, etc.

Instead of focusing on pursuing women, build an empire (let's be realistic), complete an educational course, find a job you love, improve skills in other areas of life to the point of mastery, learn a profession eg. Hypnosis, NLP (cliche, I know), Dentistry, DJing, Photography, Plumbing, Mechanics, Heck, even Survival Skills/Camping.

Focus on health and fitness for an extended time period (without picking up in gyms which is lame) until you become proficient and naturally inclined to exercise regularly.

Learn how to cook, do housework and be a homebody (yes this includes DIY Skills).

Become a professional gamer.

(ALL THE WHILE YOU PRACTICE BRENT'S MIRROR TECHNIQUE see above).

Of course, by the time you've done any or all of the above you will have memorised your 'positive opposite story/affrimations', and practised them in the mirror hundreds if not thousands of times and by the end of it women will be naturally magnified to you and you will get hit on ALL THE TIME.

OPTION 2:

Ignore any of the above and pursue women.

You get confidence naturally by experience and challenging yourself. Not by posing in the mirror.

Lol, you don't need a system. Just get organized and start working towards your goals. Make the goals small and reachable so you won't get easily discouraged by the whole project. In the end you will end up with a good results.

Studies have shown that affirmafions dont work and can have the opposite effect.

Instead of standing infront of a mirrror trying to convience yourself that your awesome take that time and use it to actually do something worth while.
