Speaking from experience and what I've seen, yes, some women will settle for less for various reasons. Same with men.

I did get laid by the man I *thought* I wanted, well, that was 1 case anyway, and turned out he wasn't what I wanted.

The only way you will find the man you want is to sleep with one after the other until you find the right type.

Guys have the same problem... So many girls don't have skills. They don't know how to kiss well, they lay there, etc... Too hyperactive, won't cuddle after sex... Ugh!

That last one is the worst thing... A girl HAS to cuddle up in a guys arms afterward.

I didn't ask this to ascertain your taste in men, cause no offense I don't really care. I asked this to point out that there are different kinds of intelligence. What Jobs did, very, very few people could ever do. Sure, you could argue that without Woz, there would be no Apple. However, without Steve, Woz would be in his basement right now (his words, not mine). The point is, you cannot claim that intelligence only comes in theoretical or analytical science. There is no such thing as "real smarts" because the people who are changing the world right now, half of them don't even have a college degree. And this is coming from me, in college right now, and in engineering.

I agree with the above. I'm a developer and as much as I'd love most my colleagues have real smarts, sadly most don't. A degree doesn't mean much.

Look at Steve Jobs. Or Bill Gates. Or Zuckerberg. They're all college dropouts.

There's a lot of smart people that made it without a degree. A lot of people who have a degree and are working at coffee shops or jobs that don't do their degree justice. In the end, it's all about how your market yourself and how ambitious and dedicated you are.

Yes....and you will be among those doing the actual hard work, while your big boss without a degree will point fingers left to right about how incompetent you are. Because that's what Jobs did.

Jobs had the idea but an idea by itself is nothing without the actual work behind it.

People are in awe of how amazing he was. Yeah, he was. But he was a business man, not an engineer, not an IT guy, not a technician, he pretty much knew nothing about technology asides for what the average computer user today knows.

Wait, should we talk about Edison vs Tesla? Tesla, the quiet genius, the real mastermind while Edison wrongfully took credit for Tesla's inventions. Real strategic move.

Sure, there are. Like who? Jobs? Zuckerberg? Hmm, cases one in a million.
The only ones I know successful without a degree are either business owners or large inheritance.
