Hello yesterday i was at a party (and club) with a lot of new people.
It was a lot of fun and a good time to try and test out a bit of game.
I did not know a lot of people at the party but i have no problems talking to people and opening up.
However when i talk to people i can't really get personal.
I have good eye contact i try to listen to what they actually say but somehow all the conversations keeps being light humor introduction based stuff etc.
I did talk to a lot of girls and had okay kino with them but even here after some time i feel like i'm not part of the conversation and i find that they are suddenly talking to other people.
So my questions are:
I feel like i know every person at the party but just on a basic level. how do i get to a girl and keep an interesting conversation, so you can escalate. (do you have favorite topics)?
Also i hear a lot of people saying you should lead the conversation setting the tone and doing a lot of the talking.
But then i also hear that you should relax and listen to what they have to say.
What is a good balance how much of the conversation should you take on your shoulders?

Sorry for the poor wording it's a bit hard to explain what i feels like.
Hope you can help me.

Thanks! :)

From your words it seems like you don't build comfort enough.

Sounds like you aren't present. Get engaged. Emotionally responsive. People will feed into that.

If you ask me, don't get deep or engaged if you're at a party. I was kissing a girl tge other day in the night club and then i sat her down on the stairs just to look her in the eyes and ask her to tell me something interesting about herself to which she replied with: That's really deep. I got the hint so i took her back to the dance floor and we kept making out. So lesson is don't get deep. Enjoy yourself, have a lot of fun and be touchy. The quicker you escalate the less you'll talk

Regardless. You made a huge generic but absolutely no emotional question.

It's like asking for a resume.

Not that bad of a question...it's something to start a conversation and that's what is actually important. You can take anything generic and build something from it.

Not bad but its big. "Tell me something INTERESTING about yourself".

It's basically a test out of nowhere, one that she's afraid of being judged on, it seems brutal without real comfort and having built something before.

Chances are she was a LSE girl and freaked out.

Nah, its not that bad of a test. I kinda liked how the dude threw that in there to minimalize the "im a slut kind of feeling" in this chick. Seems like she didn't care and the guy took the hint and kept the sexual frame going

Anyway, OP if you didn;t know people the easiest opener there or conversation is if they know people there. This is how I did it in college, pretty much stuck my face in every social circle in existence and made "rapport" on how they all were connected somehow. Alcohol makes it that much easier too .

which is it...an emotionless question or something that causes her fear? It seems like you're looking for the negative reaction. Relax...it's not that bad or as big as you are making it out to be.
