Like I said, being serious doesn't mean being boring bro. All I'm saying is that you can be interesting and serious at the same time.

Now that I think about it, that Patrick line can work with the right frame, but you're going about it trying to incite positive reactions / make her laugh / entertain her, whereas the frame of mind you'd want to be in is screening her sense of humor and saying shit for your pure self-amusement. Like some guys here have said, it's not exactly what you say, but how and the intentions behind it.

I'm not saying this is a good idea, but if I really wanted to play around for my amusement, if she says "you must have the wrong person," I'd say something like "my bad, looks like I contacted the wrong Jessica.. was looking for the Jessica who did <so and so> with me xx time ago" or whatever. God, I have so many Jessicas on my phone, always end up texting the wrong one
