I understand why I seem like I have oneitis. I'm listening to your advice, I'm not reading your stuff and being like "BLAH BLAH DOESNT MATTER IN LOVE BAE 4EVER"

I don't believe that this is a symptom of desperation or loneliness for me, I was actually casually dating someone before meeting this girl, and broke things off with her! She was a total curve ball in my life, I was not openly looking for anything in her when I met her.

I'm not desperate for a relationship, I had no intentions of going into a serious relationship for a good long time, I was definitely enjoying single life.
