i used to think the truth is THE most important thing in this life. nothing comes above the truth.
but recently i have been thinking maybe not. specifically, i think how you make someone feel is more important than the truth?

i will give a simple example. lets say a girl gives you a coupon for whatever....lets say 50% off at a famous restaurant. this girl could be anyone, it could be your sister, your girlfriend, your neighbor.

you look at the coupon and it's expired. do you thank her and assure her you will use it, and throw it away when she is gone? or do you point out that the coupon is expired?

i used to do the second one because that's the truth, i dont care how she feels, the coupon is expired. but now i try to be nice and pretend it's not expired to make her feel good.

how much do YOU value the truth? which is more important to you, how someone feels or the truth?
