I'll walk into a coffeeshop/small pub/restaurant either alone or with friends and I'll spot a super hot girl (like seriously hot) sitting with a guy. Initially, I assume they're a couple based on their body language/comfort level and so on so I sit down (usually in the hotties line of sight) and start doing my thing (reading/working/talking to friends/whatever). After some time passes, I'll start noticing that the HB is glancing over at me.
I'm a pretty good looking guy, so I've gotten used to girls with b/f's stealing a look here or there but they usually look away quickly so I assume it's more of the same. I look her in the eyes expecting her to turn away but she holds it. This is definately an IOI but it throws me off because of the situation. Now I break eye contact (which makes me feel AFC) to check out the AMOG who seems completely oblivious to the situation. After a few more strong IOI's (and me always breaking eye contact) I realize that they must be friends or relatives or something ...or maybe this chick just digs the attention.
Now I'm left with this weak feeling. I'm out of frame, I have approach anxiety, I start to doubt my assessment of the situation, the 3 second rule is all blown to hell and I don't have a specific opener in mind.
I know you have to approach the AMOG first, but it's not the kind of social SPAM that warrants an approach to a mixed set like it is at a bar. Then what? Run an opinion opener on him? I can't help but feel this would be rude and be taken as an offense since they seem to be mired in conversation or in some cases even eating dinner.
Is there some method of dealing with this? These girls have all been 8.5-9's and are usually the hottest girls I've seen all day. Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.
