She is in her 40's....I casually mentioned about pick up etc.....and she said the best thing to say to a girl is "Do I have a chance or not".......WTF. Proof that most women do not even know themselves what turns them on, its all physcological/sub conscious.

The advice isn't a good one as you need to try to win the girl you like. As she can look at you and not like at first but when she knows you better after some word or action she can change her mind. That's why just asking about the chance is silly.

Agreed - she is a co-worker and a friend so I wasn't really bothered about mentioning it to her.

Its not that women give bad advice per say, its just that their perspective and mentality is different. They have abundance, so for them "be yourself" and shit like that is applicable. Most women dont really try to change to get a certain guy. So to them, they value being themselves and their own happiness over landing a certain guy. When a woman gives you advice like the advice you got, its just because they see it as "either he likes me or he doesnt."Also, and I mean this respectfully, her response is more a reflection of how highly she views YOUR options. If a guy who is attractive asks her advice on what to say to a girl, she'd say "just say hi." The response you got means that your coworker already sees you as a guy who is not in the position of the CHOOSER. She's saying FOR YOU, thats whats the best thing to say, because you gotta play the numbers game, throw shit out and find something that sticks. A man who she saw as more attractive would have gotten different advice. The guy who she's attracted to...she wants him to say "hey lets go out." You, she wants the guys like yourself to say "do I have a chance or not" so she can say no, and you walk away.
