As far as men's looks are concerned, yes, clothes, a haircut, they can do wonders, especially for average Joes.

However, if a man is good looking, wearing sweats and hoodies won't take away from his good looks.
Same for a woman. If she's an HB9-10, the sweats and hoodies won't make much a difference. She'll still get hit on.

But for people 7 and below in looks, it probably will make a difference.

Ego wise, who would want to call themselves a 2? I've seen 5s that call themselves 7-8s. I've seen 7s act like 10s.
