Striking while the iron is hot is a cliche that comes to mind. I remember a good night at the skate rink. I had been interacting with a number of attractive women. As I was leaving, I happened across a girl and guy talking about something. Can't remember what. I actually butt in and make a comment, the girl body languages the other guy right out of the conversation stands close to me and engages me in conversation. We talk for a bit, and we agree to spend some time together next week at skating. She did not come back for about 6 weeks. When she came, she never looked my way, nor did she seem to remember talking to me. Not TOO big of a deal as she was a 5, and I never really worry about a reconnect as there are other women to choose from. But had I pounced on the opportunity, I would have likely got somewhere.
