A report from the other night.

I found an old colleague on linked-in that I hadn't seen for a number of years. Having always had regrets about not acting on impulse at the time and letting her get away, I was happy to manage to secure a mid-week drink.

I've been trying to maintain eye-contact with women for at least 3 seconds, after I met a man that did the same - I'm straight but it was unusual and charismatic.

When she went to the bathroom in a bar a couple of hours in, I steered the conversation towards travel and escaping London using a Lonely Planet guide I found near our seats. Scanning through the maps we talked about how it would feel running away etc. I've often heard PUAs talking about building an emotional connection so this may have worked on a subconscious level.

She initiated kino through holding hands walking from pub to club and we eventually settled into a bar where I started making up ridiculous back-stories about the other customers - i've seen this on Shaun of the Dead and it still makes me laugh. More long eye contact etc.

Things were stalling so I asked her for three words to describer herself. I can't remember what she said but I ended on 'suprising'. She asked why and I said 'I'll show you'. She made downward eye contact to my mouth and I kiss-closed.

Some pretty amateur stuff in here I know, but it seemed to work for me. Could well have been fortunate circumstances.
