I was on my way home yesterday, and saw an absolute stunner. I found an excuse to talk to her, and it wasn't ideal circumstances, because it was almost dark, she was walking by herself, and the neighborhood wasn't exactly the high end type. But anyway, when I told her how beautiful she was, her eyes lit up, and instantly asked if I wanted her number. We talked for a few minutes, during which she mentioned she was on her period, and wanted pizza.... (she was walking home with a box of pizza) and parted ways. I text her later that night, but she's non responsive. She was briefly receptive when I poked fun at her pizza and period thing, but nada after that. I was going to go on a date with her today, but she's not responding at all. All my texts were playful and direct. But I don't want to dig myself further in the hole by texting her some more. conventional wisdom says I should just move on, but this girl is something else, and I definitely want to try to see her again, and build more rapport. In my book, she's a 10.5.. Should I wait a few days and try again?

I think it's safe to say you misread how eager she really was lol give her a few days, hit her up again. If she doesn't answer, forget about her.

I wouldn't suggest telling a girl how beautiful she is as an opener. I mean, after a few dates, why not.
But this creates some awkwardness. Same if a woman told a guy how good looking he is. I don't know, it just sounds weird.

Not weird at all if it comes out of an honest energy. IF it comes out of anything other than then yes it'll be seen as manipulative, and she'll likely rebuff the compliment.

There's 0 awkwardness in complimenting a woman UNLESS you are making the compliment to get/take something from her.

IF you are hung up on this then its likely too you feel ashamed about your own sexuality, and are by extension afraid to treat women as sexual creatures as well.

She offered the number without him asking, which is why the OP is so confused about this. This is possibly the reason I hate these "this one girl" type of posts so much. We're good with figuring things out in general, but to get into the head space of each individual girl without an extended amount of detail is virtually impossible to diagnose.

Yeah, it does. My gf and her friends roll their eyes at guys who call them hot or beautiful.

9's and 10's have heard this shit their entire lives. It means absolutely fucking nothing to them, and you'll sound like all the other douchebags.

It will only mean something to women at these attractive levels if they are emotionally invested in you.
