A guy that I'm seeing said a ton of mushy things to me last week while drunk after a guy hit on me. Saying things like f*ck that other guy, I like you a lot, there's no one else that he's seeing, how seeing other guys would 'hurt his feelings', asked where he stood with me, for us to stop playing games because he felt like I was lying, etc. He even wrote a fake letter to the "other guys" saying to f*ck off lol.

He woke up the next morning and made 1 quick joke about what he said, to which I asked if he remembered what he said and he said yea the gist. I just left it at that. He contacted me two days in a row afterwards and we still didn't talk about it.

I saw him a week later (last night) and then he said he was just "effing around when he said all those things".

My girlfriends said he's just embarrassed and that he meant what he said. That if he didn't mean it he would've automatically regretted it and said something about it the next morning in person, and definitely those two days later when he contacted me.

Thoughts? When you regret saying something drunk do you take it back asap?
