I would like to buy a watch for style.
I can get a no brand one for $10, I can get a Michael Kors one for $200, I can get a Rolex for $1000, or I can get a fake Rolex for like $40

I would rather not get a real Rolex because if it gets lost or stolen, I am screwed. Which leaves me with a dilemma, which one to get?

It doesn't make a difference. Only matters to a materialistic woman. I wore a nice watch the last couple of times and it doesn't mean anything other than you have a nice watch. It does make women comment on your dress of style though. But other than that, if you think a watch is going to get you laid, you are sorely mistaken.

Are you asking for a blanket rule as to whether women can tell if a watch is fake or not?

Some women will be able to, some women won't

If you really want a watch, spend a couple hundred on a mid range watch. if you want to impress with a watch you can't cheap out.

It doesn't matter so much the brand of the watch so long as it complements your style. A very expensive watch that doesn't accentuate your style will often end up doing more harm than good.

Second, are you getting a watch to impress girls, or are you getting it for yourself so that you can keep track of time? If it's to get girls, you've got a needy mindset which is doing you more harm subtly than any watch ever will.

I don't need a watch. In fact, I think watches are annoying. But also, it would be nice if I didn't have to take out my cell phone every time I needed to know the time.

I am not trying to attract materialistic women or gold diggers. I hate gold diggers and I can't afford to support them anyway, I don't have that kind of money.

I am buying it to add definition to my style. Like a neck tie is useless but you wear it because it looks good. Personal articles of clothing are important, they make you look human. When I see a girl and I see that she has a cute watch or a cute jacket, I am more likely to be attracted to her. I don't know man, it's just I am trying to have some personal items that add definition. So bottom line is the brand doesn't matter, it just has to look good on me?

On the other hand, unless it says ROLEX in really big, glowing neon letters on it, she won't know the difference between a Rolex, fake Rolex or Swatch... unless you plan on rubbing it in her face and drawing attention to it.

Why the fuck would you want to look as if you can easily afford a Rolex, while wearing a fake, when you obviously can't, since you'd be fucked if stolen?

Buy a 600$ Aflex. Buy a 400$ Bigotti Milano. Buy a 250$ Fossil. Buy something that is relevant to your lifestyle and to what you can or cannot afford.

First of all, professionals have to open up a Rolex to determine if it is fake, even the cheap ones! So that would be impossible, unless there were something obviously wrong.
Secondly, never buy anything because of what other people think
Because if you had a 100 grand watch, 2 things will happen.
They will like you because they think your rich, and that is a terrible way to do it.
Or you will forever be longing for approvals from other people, and therefore can never succeed, because you can never satisfy everyone

Get a watch that's affordable for your budget. And not going to break the bank.
