I'm a short guy. I am 170cm which is pretty much manlet status.

When it comes to approaching taller chicks, I'm not intimidated but I feel I am at a disadvantage on height. I still try to ask out taller chicks and I don't see them avoiding me like the plague or anything, but I've had a female friend tell me that I'm short and it may be harder.

I ordered a pair of shoe lifts online. They should be arriving in a few days. I'm just wondering if they actually work or make you look stupid?

Here's a pic for reference to show you what they are:

Stupid

Holding onto your insecurities won't help you. You'll still be short, you'll still be insecure. Just find a way to own it.

You can be a 6'4" man with shoe lifts and still have the confidence of a 5'5" man.

Yeah, they work and all but you become dependent on them in such a way that the occasion where you're not wearing your specific shoes, you feel inadequate and has a worse effect than just accepting your height.

I would only fake it if it was something that was more permanent to my body. Teeth whitening is a easy solution and it will stay with you where ever you go.

But special shoes might have the opposite effect

Just make sure they fit well with your shoes. You'll get an extra inch or so max before it becomes uncomfortable.

What you really need to realize is that height is pretty far down on the list of things which make you physically attractive to a girl, short of a height fetishist (no pun intended!). This is both research and survey suggested. I'm 1.68m (5'6) and it's never bothered me one bit.

Here's a repost from another thread by me:

--------------

With regards to actual research into opposite sex attractiveness, here's some:

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/th ... -you-think

"Their shocking finding was that, by far, the most attractive features fell under the category of "self care". These features were changeable aspects like good grooming, neat hair, nice fitting and quality clothing, good posture, and healthy weight."

"Masculinity, somewhat attractive to women, was comprised of some of the stable features (depending on your gym time) of muscularity, shoulder width, larger chest, and a bigger jaw."

Shoulder width likely also related to your shoulder-to-waist ratio (and chest-to-waist) which give you that "V-taper" look. Some of this will be genetic, unfortunately.

And this also jives with that is the best survey I've seen from Men's Health, regarding what women think makes men attractive (a sample of ~1000 women):

http://www.menshealth.com/sex-women/top ... -she-wants

Women were given a choice of 20 traits, and the % value below represents the proportion of them that put the specific trait into their top 10 (physical traits only listed here):

Sense of Style 30%
Handsome Face 26%
Height 15%
Muscular Build 13%
Fitness 12%

The conclusion here is simple when you combine the research with the survey: the way you dress and take care of yourself is the # priority for being attractive to women.

Well, great? Assuming that you actually get results from the gym and that your clothes are actually nice, then you are maximizing both the more and less important stuff at the moment.

So.. heels for men?

Come on dude, when you take the shoes off you'll still be 1.70. You can change that. So accept it.

Here's my clothes setup at the moment:

Sunglasses: http://www.ray-ban.com/australia/custom ... sunglasses
Shirt: http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/cal ... -387444070
Jacket:http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/men ... -387441910
Jeans: http://www.connor.com.au/DOLAN--SKINNY- ... mn__075759
Shoes: http://www.vans.net.au/afawcs0130267/CA ... tails.html

Anything you would change?

I'm planning on getting new shoes as the ones I have now are worn out and old, and possibly some new shirts, etc.

Spring and Summers coming in Australia in a couple of months in Australia though, So I will need to change things up a bit in terms of clothes. I'm planning on going to the Gold Coast with my cousin at the end of the year, so I'll need different clothes for there as it's a completely different game to Melbourne.

At the gym, I'm trying to bulk at the moment so I can become bigger. I don't want to become as big as Zyzz or some shit, but I don't want to be as skinny as I am now.

I'm not beating the chicks off with a stick mate. Just most of the girls I know that go to my school are just bad. When me and my cousin go clubbing and shit in the city, I've picked up a few glamour models that are 21+ (Not bad for a 17 year old ;) ).

BTW. If anyone has some recommendations for new clothes so I can update the wardrobe?

Regarding style, it's more to do with how fit to your body rather than sharing links to the specific product pages.

My tailoring costs more than my clothes itself but I can not deny that every single match I get on Tinder, every single girl that stands near to me in the club, are usually very complimentary of my style.

You know you have your style mastered when your friends' diss the stuff you wear and the girls are opening you. That is when you know you got it. Don't let the haterz downgrade your wardrobe. I can achieve this with my style alone, I am not in good shape but I groom well and I am confident in real life and within my Tinder pics.

I have just moved to Thailand so I'VE had ditch my vault of clothes and I got some really cool garments that get me eye contact and welcomed attention.

Yea. I've bought all my clothes based on my style and from friends recommendations. So far, it's all been fresh and no problems.

Also aren't there a ton of cheap clothes going around Thailand?
