Hey guys! So about a month ago I read the game and Ive been inspired to try and become better with women. So Ive been reading some books on body language, currently about a third of the way through "how to win friends and influence people" (awesome so far), and of course reading posts on this forum. But haven't actually gotten to go out and try my hand with women since "getting in the game". But Ive kind of practicing just opening with women I run into casually without really any intent on closing. Just trying to get comfortable with it. Im happy to say last night I was out with my uncle and got my first number close!

Essentially this is what happened. I was at a small bar on campus my uncle. It was pretty dead and this group of 3 (2 guys and a girl) walked in and took seats at the bar. The girl is sitting on the end of them and as they are shaking for shots my drink ran out and I used that as an excuse to go up to the bar next to her. So she looks over at me and I ask her if shes winning. She responded positively and joked about the bad shot she had to take. Then I made a joke about how shitty the dice shaking cup was because it was all gross and covered in duct tape. We laughed about that then I told her I had to get back the the game of pool I was playing with my uncle. Didnt pay attention to her for a while and though the group had left.

Later on I was racking another game of pool and my uncle was missing. So I went out the back bar at this place and found him talking to the two guys, the girl (easily HB9, 5'4 blond, super pretty face, cross country runner with the cutest butt wearing a dress that only came about 1/3 of the way down to her knees...) was on the end completely unengaged in the conversation and I could tell she was bored (she was texting constantly and just looked annoyed). So after introducing myself to the guys took the plunge and walked around them to sit in the stool next to her.

I wont go into the details of exactly what was said but we talked for literally an hour straight about everything. My strategy was to just try to be a good listener, coming up with questions to ask her that let her know I was interested in what she had previously said, open body language and all that. It went really well, she was playing with her hair the whole time and seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying as well. Even got some kino in when She told me a story about a guy shouting something at her while she was running and I was like "well Im sure you get a lot attention given that your running shorts probably come up to about here" then I used my hand to draw a line across her thigh pretty close to where her butt was and she was totally cool with that. Throughout the whole convo only once did I make an excuse to tell her that she was cute. Other than that I really didnt even hit on her verbally.

So after talking the night was winding down and I found out that her and her guy colleagues she was with were living in my city until the end of July, so as they were about to get ready to go I was just like "well if you are going to be around for a while you should totally give me your number so we can hang out again". She got a big grin on her face and when she said yeah absolutely the inflection in her voice changed almost like she had be waiting for me to say that. Got her number and she looked back and smiled at me as she left. Gave props to my uncle for occupying the two guys for an almost hour and a half.

Thinking back about it I think what made the difference for me was that after reading all of this stuff on pickup and self betterment, when I went to talk to her my attitude wasn't " ok Im going to go talk to this girl so I can fuck her" as it had been in the past. It was " I want to go over to this girl and have a great conversation with her" and that's exactly what happened and it led to success!

haha, you did a good job man. Just read a texting guide if you need to and you will be fine. One thing you could always do when texting is use call back humor. Here, I got that you found out she runs and she probably wears shorts shorts. That could create the nickname shorts shorts

Well I think Im fucked here (figuratively only unfortunately lol). Texted her sun and today (around noonish).

I mean looking back I think there are some things I could have done different and better for sure. But she seemed interested and attracted to me. Ive been in convos where the chick definitely wasnt hahaha. Just slightly confused... and maybe a little annoyed. Next time haha

Shit there was a girl I met last week that I had great text game with... she was texting ME out of the blue... then all of a sudden NOTHING. Its been 4 or 5 days and still NOTHING. My attitude is "oh well I've got like 7 other girls to work with... her loss". There is a great talk by Tony Solo I'll post so can see.

I Opened the one of the hot women Ive been seeing regularly at the gym this summer so Im definitely getting back on the horse. Ill definitely take a look at that talk!
