Hi All, I'm fresh out of a 3 year relationship and it's time to dust off my old chops and get back into the game.

However I'm 37 now and the last time I was properly sarging / dating I was 32 and to be honest I'm not entirely sure how to dress now!! I do need a style makeover but am completely unsure where to start. I would appreciate any advice from any PUAs in a similar age range on how they go about this.

One other thing to note is that I'm based in the UK.

Thanks in advance!

I would ask a fashionable female friend, or a female coworker who has good taste to show you some examples of what they think would look good on you. I find on average females will have a better taste in clothes then guys.

Generally girls do like when guys dress nice/neat, keeping that in mind you need to have clothes that make you feel comfortable as well. If you are doing a complete make over, if its a good style but different what you used to then you might be put off in the beginning, I find good clothes do grow on me over time.

The "peackocking" helps too, I never tried it, however relevant accessories, flashy clothes catch attention and it's an easy conversation starter.

Also depending on the budged try to match new clothes with the once you have now, so you don't end up spending thousands of dollars.

1. Wear fit attire, not too tight but not too loose.
2. Find clothing that works with your complexion and hair color.
3. Dress better than everyone else, but not so much that you appear out of context / socially retarded.
4. Do it for yourself, not to impress others. This is important. The confidence you gain because you know you look good is a fantastic asset. If you are doing it to impress others, you've got a validation/approval-seeking mindset, which is neediness.

Appropriate examples:
When I go to college, I wear well-fitted v-neck t-shirts and dark slim-fit jeans, belts that match my oxford shoes, and some dark-colored bracelets to contrast with my skin. On a night out I might wear a gold necklace underneath my shirt. It's an extension of my personality.

I can "dress up" a casual night out with a blazer and a long sleeve underneath, depending on my mood.

Inappropriate examples:
Don't wear a business suit to class when everyone else is coming in sports jerseys. You'll appear socially retarded. (Dress better but within context.) I saw one poor fucker do this (complete with a briefcase, even) and I was damn sure he didn't have any interview or meeting afterwards.

Don't wear clothes that are incongruent with your personality.

Even if you dont try '' well'' that won't limit you, or it shouldn't. cause your fashion is pretty much an expression of yourself. women are into everything

What's your style? What type of clothes express who you are?

I wear pretty basic clothes when it comes to style. Usually jeans and a tshirt or jeans and a button down.

What's more important is accessories. Adding "edge" to your appearance.

Things like watches and brackets. Rings and piercings. Tattoos. Hair styles. Facial hair.

Things of that nature will add the desired "sex appeal" you're looking for as long as you don't over do it and look like a douche.

That mostly.

Also be careful with the "female friend with taste". Most women will attempt to dress you to their idea of attractive, rather than taking into consideration what actually looks good on you.
