You then go on to speak adamantly about how a man needs to pay for your time
When asked repeatedly what you did for him, you never say anything

If you really DID by him a bday gift, and drive to see him and all that, why NOT include that info. And dont act like thats asking you to give details like what color are his pubes...ITS INFORMATION RELATED TO THE TOPIC. By including it in the first place, it makes a STRONGER case for how cheap he was if you are buying him stuff and driving. So not including that is just bizarre. If I'm writing a story about a chick who was mean to me, it makes sense for me to say how unmean and sweet I was to here to emphasize that point. Not only do these new bday gifts, offering to pay claims sound made up at this point after backlash, they are in direct contrast to what you were saying before about how you view gender roles and men need to work for you. You say on one hand men need to work for you, then say that you did more stuff for a guy?
Its a flip flop and I assume you're doing so to win an argument. Because none of this was included before when it would make sense, nor was included when asked. Now suddenly, the chick who says guys gotta pay to play, says she was paying to play?!
Thats like me making a thread on how women gotta cook and clean, I give a story about how a woman didnt do that, I say its their job to cook and clean to be with me, then when people ask what did I do to deserve her cooking and cleaning, I say "you guys are man-haters!..its just cooking and cleaning!" and when I get more backlash, I say "well I was cooking and cleaning for her and I took her grandma to the hospital and did her taxes...you dudes are wrong for asking what I did!" No. Now it sounds made up. Now it sounds in direct opposition to my tone and ideology afterwards. So either you're a liar and these new additions are not real, or you're a hypocrite on your own

I really dont know which is worse; if those additions are false, or if you really did go on more than the 4 dates you described in the story, and all this talk of preferences and men should do x is just fake. Cause damn...you went on more than 4 dates with a guy who was being cheap and weird who you were buying a gift for and driving an hr and bringing wine for...I guess you really dont need to pay to play.
