Waiting at a bus stop today, a cute girl walks up to the stop with headphones in.
The first thing I noticed about her is she looked a lot like 'Alexa Vega', aka very attractive.

I check my phone briefly then I walk up to her and say "hey", she takes out her earphones, I say " Is your name Alexa?" she says no and looks confused. I say" haha my bad, but you look exactly like Alexa Vega, like the actress from spy kids" she says 'ha ya, ive heard that a few times before' , I say " I literally had to google her after I saw her cause I thought you were her' she says "ha", and put her headphones back in.
That was the end of the conversation, I felt like she was interested in talking to me anymore.

Im interested to see how you guys would approached the situation and what you would have done to help transition the conversation!

As soon as she said she'd heard it a few times, I would have changed the subject. And the whole googling thing, was a bit weird. Not sure why, but it felt kinda strange.

Introducing myself hardly seems appropriate or likely to continue the interaction. You say Hi my name is.... , they introduce themself... now what?

Honestly, I think she was a lost cause after that cheesy pick-up line. I would've just started, as has been suggested, by just introducing myself (preferably with a sincere-looking smile).

Sorry but I really wouldn't have known what to do either after she put back her earphones. I would've really doubted her interest in me at that point.

You're asking how to continue the conversation. If you want to continue after she puts her earphones back in...tap your ear while looking at her to show that you have more to say and then when she removes them you have to say something to show that you are interested in her.

i was thinking about this and im starting to wonder if my idea about online is applicable here: nobody has perfect game, one might have good but if physically the person isnt attracted to you its no good.
