Hey guys! I'm looking to talk to anyone who's been diagnosed with autism or Asperger's and has tried using PUA techniques to improve their social/romantic skills. Have you found it helpful? I'm a writer for Vice, doing some research, and would love to interview you, if so, but also just want to hear what you guys think about this!

I have Asperger and was diagnosed when I was 14, and Aspergers runs in my family across at least 3 generations as far as I know.

PUA techniques have helped me a lot especially with my confidence and self-esteem issues I've had for as long as I can remember. It also helped me get over the serve social anxiety I had when approaching women, and improved my conversation and body language reading skills. I have not been successful yet, the reality is dating is still a numbers game.

I will note I have not spent any money on PUA materials, nor do I need too.

It's not about the techniques. It's about the lifestyle.

I think there are some SEVERE cases of autism but honestly, I think the real problem is kids these days spend too much time on their computers or playing video games. And when they are outside, they are buried in their cell phones. People don't know how to socialize anymore.

The big underlying concept of "PUA" is get the fuck out of your house and make some friends. You'll meet new people which will lead to a new life for you. If you stop sitting around and acting like a nerd, you'll stop living the life of a nerd.
