Well as always i try to help the community from what i have learned then i usually add a question of my own.

Sooooo you finally pop the big question, you ask the girl on a date. One of two things will happen. You'll either get a yes or no. But wait, that was the over simplified version.

Lets start with the good the YES. It be this simple in some cases as a yes, but still you just have to sort all the logistics and plan the date etc, sometimes girl will be more in unison with you in terms of, if she's not free SHE WILL GIVE YOU HER DATES WHEN SHE IS(very important, very good indicator) Also don't worry about things she's not into, again when she's seriously considering the date, say no id rather do xyz, or I'm not really into you xyz.

Now for the bad part, tbf in all my time I've never got a solid no, its usually dressed up in airing/blanking the message,I'm busy, I'm working, i cant all of these lame ass excuses, with no follow up of her trying to suggest availability.

LISTEN CAREFULLY, I HAVE DISTILLED THIS DOWN SIMPLY. THERE IS NO GREA AREA WHEN ASKING A GIRL OUT ON A DATE.

Now if someone with more experience can explain why the no's may have occurred and the usual patterns/answers they've seen at where the no has happened would be great to add this post.

A "No" is a gift, as Marshall Rosenberg always said. A "No" is simply an expression of an unmet need ... 'what's preventing you from saying "yes"'?

Now by no means am I telling you to interrogate if she's not receptive, I am just trying to give you a bit of perspective from a feminine frame.

A "No" may not necessarily mean she has no interest in you. It could be a reflection on having built insufficient comfort for her to agree to go out with you. It may also mean the attraction is low - perhaps it was high at some point but your posturing on asking her out lead her to believe you're weak-minded and that attraction was no more as a result.

A "No" may also mean:
-her history - you remind her somehow of someone she's had negative experiences with
-she's not looking for a relationship of any sort at the moment
-she's still attached to a partner and/or ex or has some other potential love-interest in mind
-she's not overly intrigued by you, perhaps you came off as placating, 'too nice', or too intensely for her liking

But really, why does it even matter? Why focus on the "no" girls when you can be spending your energy dating and escalating with all the "yes" girls out there?
