Ok so I'm still in the middle of my match.com subscription and I gotta say it blows. First and foremost in dating sites are LOOKS. I got a great profile and I can write great openers. Once they see me, it's a no go. I mean I'm not fugly or hot. I'm ok looking and asian. I'm trying to talk to white girls only and it's impossible. I don't want to use the race card but I'm tellin ya, it's TOUGH.

There was a conflict with my profile where my profile and pic wasn't showing but I could email anyone I wanted. Almost all girls responded and said it was very very well written and then my profile came back up. All contacts were lost.

I thought it would be much easier online but I realized it's sooo much easier talking to women in person. I'm at the point where I got the eye contact, body language and conversations pretty nailed down. Online it's just stupendously superficial. And I already live in a city known for superficial people.

I have to now agree with most people on here that online dating is pointless unless you're good looking. I bet 90% of all online success is because you are some what of an attractive guy.

I'm done sarging online after my membership is over. It's pointless.

online sarging should be a side project, think of it as a supplement to your game. dont get discouraged, its part of it. i cant tell you how many times ive been turned down in the past, but each time i learn from it and move on.

as soon as i get rejected i move on to the next, you gotta keep on truckin man.

i just wrote a thread with the help of jsmooth on online gaming, check it out if you havent already.

Maybe it's cause I had a long day at work and I just wanted to let out some steam but I've gotten a whopping 2 number closes on match.com. Albeit it's 2 more #s more than I've gotten before I started this whole life style change.

I use the, "I'm was disappointed when you didn't reply back to me, but I thought I'd give you one last shot..." routine when I didn't hear back from a possible interest. They always use "I'm not online that often" as an excuse. I just need to find it in myself to call the BS out and move on. I think I cling a little too long because my response rate is horrible on match.com. It's actually quite better on free sites like plentyoffish.

I came on to match.com thinking if I can get girls to reply to me on free sites it must be so much easier for paying sites, but they're 1000x more picky.

I'm now starting on constructing a bridge to get over it.

Dating sites blow dude, ESPECIALLY if you're not the best looking. There just aren't enough ways to raise your value.

lol, it's not a race thing. Here's one of our members who's asian...he picked up the girl on the right on facebook. Are you worse looking than him?

I feel you. I recently joined OkCupid which is a cool free Online Dating site. I found quite a few attractive girls in my extended area. So I proceeded to message them one by one over the course of a week. A few of them genuinely had similar tastes and hobbies. Of the 14 I initiated contact with, 4 replied to my messages. Of the 4 that initially replied, 0 replied to my second message.

If you want to try a good free dating site, I suggest OKCupid. It's really cool despite the fact that it has failed me. Maybe you will have better luck,

btw, I'm a Hispanic that tries to talk to Asians. Now that is tough!

dude, looks dont mean anything, if your game is tight enough and your frame is right you can have any woman that crosses your path.

the venusian arts are not easily learned, it takes lots of failures before you get any successes, hang in there

online is ok for a bit of fun, I got heaps of initial success from online but over time it is boring compared to the fun you can immediately have in real life ;)

Im a member of AdultFriendFinder, but don't even have a pic up yet. Either havent had time or maybe lack a bit of confidence for the online stuff?

I have to disagree with the attacks on online dating. Dont get me wrong. Like you i have been turned down too, but i learned to take it like a grain of salt. Second, long before i learned the ways of the venuisan arts, i was gaming chicks online left and right. I guess you could say i was a online natural. Main reason was that i was my "best" self online and women could see that instantly. I just didnt give a fuck! Honestly now that i think about it, I did exactly what Mystery (and everyone else good at gaming) would do in the clubs. (the steps that include meet attract etc,) The difference is i would do it online and i didnt have to worry about groups.Sometimes i got phone numbers, sometimes i got meets, sometimes i got a little phone-sex. All of it was practice though. I used to wonder how i could bring that same guy that would attract women online in real life, but after reading the game and mystery method, now i see. Just use online as practice and not care. It should be easier especially since you will likely never ever see these women (unless they live near you)

Tips: Dont put a pic up. Contrary to belief a non pic draws more intrests than a pic does. Chicks wonder who you are and you keep them guessing.
(If she really wants to see you she'll ask you to swap or send pics)

Also, try to find chat rooms as opposed to dating sites where you can just get in and talk instead of wasting money and dealing with other BS just to talk. :D

Any suggestions on where to find these chat rooms? I used to mess around on AOL chatrooms when I was in high school. But I don't use AOL anymore.

Good points, but what I am wondering is as to how to handle the players and liars.

Perhaps I have been doing something wrong, but so far I have not really had a whole lot of luck online either. Most of the women and the people that I have been meeting online have turned out to be complete liars, psychopaths, or players. But I have also found that to be true outside of the internet as as well and as of yet I just have not really learned how to deal with it all that effectively.

Perhaps someone might have some ideas and suggestions as to how to handle that better.
