You treat yourself like a king and you hold the woman in your life to that standard.

When you're afraid to walk away you will be walked over. Whats the penalty for the woman in your life not treating you like a king? If there is no requirement, nor a reward for doing so or a penalty for not doing so what is the motivation to do so? If you can go to work for 30 mins a week and get a 40 hour a week pay check what would be your motivation for putting in 40 hours?

Yes, self-respect is your key to happiness. If you can't accept that what you view as "treating me right" is simply your desire to fit her behavior into a tiny little box of correctness, then you will always be struggling to be happy. Focus on yourself. Let her give herself to you. Enjoy it. Don't try to control her. She will sense it. If she decides to show her love as "treating you as a king" then she will. If she doesn't, and you can't handle not being spoiled by her, then find someone who will. Some women will treat you this way, and some will not. Some will momentarily treat you this way, but they have too much shit on their plate to always be kissing your ass. Some have no life, and they can send plenty of texts and messages proclaiming your greatness. You choose your partner and I suggest you become more realistic. Just because she doesn't drool at your sight doesn't mean you are not someone she loves. All of these indicators of interest, they aren't universal. Hate to say it, but 9/10 a girl would probably still give in to you without showing obvious signs, but most people have been too conditioned not to try without feeling safe by obvious signs. Focus on yourself, that way, whether it works out or not you are good to go.
