The same reason a few of the coaches post on here in bulk every now and then so that people see them.
They give away a bit of information for free in the hopes that people will see it and then inquire further about what paid products they have.
There's nothing wrong with it, people are never really going too see your shit if you don't advertise. But it's up to you to decipher whether the person advertising actually knows what they're on about and is really offering a product of value though.
From my experience I think about 90% of the pick up coaches at the moment are just charlatans trying too sell snake oil and really aren't as good as they claim themselves too be. They're more like crazed gospel preachers than real players who are sharing their experience and knowledge.
There are a few that talk sense and do get results. Majikal posts some good stuff on here, PUA Kenny also has some legit advice and there are a few others too. Nothing groundbreaking for a guy who knows his shit but the advice that these guys give could definitely help out a guy who is a newb lacking in experience who doesn't yet "get it".
I think in my entire three years since discovering this community I've only really had the material of a small handful of coaches that actually resonate with myself and have really influenced my game in a positive way. I always follow the Bruce Lee quote of "adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own" when taking in knowledge or developing skills that will help me reach my goals. I think that is a good way too go...
Moral of the story - If you're ever going too pay for something, you better make sure it gets the desired results and does what it says on the tin.
