Update:

I saw her Friday. I didn't know her backpack was in front of me, so when she walked over to grab something, I said "Hey [name of ex]." Shocked, she turned around and stuttered "y-yeah?" "Let's play later" (referring to a video game I was playing). She said "Yeah!" and she skipped back to where she was sitting.

Later on, her friend came over to play against me and my ex watched the match. After I won, her friend said "Alright [ex] your turn." And he kept pushing her to play against me. Hesitantly, she sat down and played. After playing for a few minutes, I realized she was going easy on me. (She taught me how to play the game in the first place.) When I realized that, I looked at her and she was extremely sad. So I pulled back a little. Then she kicked my ass... and then kicked my ass in the rematch when we were both trying our hardest. After my loss, we were both laughing and making jokes.

People begged me to play more games but I had to go out of town for an awards ceremony. I told them "I can't, I gotta leave town right now or I'll be late." That's when my ex jumped out of her chair and said "where are ya going?" I told her "Out of town." She asked why. I grinned and said "You're nosy." Then I left.

Later on, her friend told me what happened after I left. He asked her "How did you get over him so quickly?" She told him "I just did." He asked her "Why were you going easy on him?" She said "I don't know... something inside me prevented me from playing at my best. It felt like the first time I played him." I asked her friend if he knew she messaged me twice. He didn't know. Apparently, none of her friends knew.

A few days later, she sends me a stupid snapchat saying "I don't wanna go to work." She doesn't use snapchat. I didn't reply.

Her rebound guy wasn't there to see the match we played, he left to go to work.
