I know you see this on like the cosmopolitan kind of stuff, but i want to hear it from actual experienced people.

What are your guys thoughts on the morning texts every once in a while that are like

"Hey, your awesome, have a great day" or "Miss you" kind of stuff?

Not big on generic compliments myself, they often seem fake/disingenuous.

Hahah, I'm kidding. Well not really, I do actually find that lovey dovey stuff ridiculous.

A typical morning text from me, if any, would be something along the lines of "Leave the chocolate alone, you fatass". Then they usually take a stab right back at me and we have a fun little back and forth.
I like to tease my girls and give them shit, just like I do with male friends. Except with them it's also sexual here and there.

I agree with n2 that generic compliments are disingenuous. In fact I rarely compliment, but when I do it's genuine, so it's very well received.

Firstly, why do you want to send this mushy stuff to her? I can almost guarantee that it's some form of reaction seeking, which is wrong.

Secondly, don't just pointlessly start texting "you're beautiful. Just thought you should know" every day. It's good now and then, but only because you're saying what you're thinking about there's no reaction seeking involved like "this will make her smile and want to date me" ...my main girl SPAM usually gets compliments from me, but they can be anything from a mushy yet teasing "you're fucking stunning. It almost feels like I've got competition" to a weird "your face is so symmetrical. Your cheeks are killing me. They'll make you famous one day" ...like the kind of stuff that in most situations would be real weird and awkward. Somehow, it really works, lol.
