I asked this HB for directions, then asked what she was doing tonight. Then invited her to a clubby lounge later and said to take my # and text me her name so I can text her the place and address (which she did).

Then I get a text saying:
"thanks for the invite. Can't make it out tonight. I have a boyfriend, but I think it was really great you took a chance and said hello. More guys should do that have a good night!"

Why did she text me her name if she had a boyfriend? Or is she lying about having a boyfriend? Is there anything that I can text back, or should I just delete her #?

Could be any reason pick up one of them.

She's not interested, but you could cut a lot of confusion down by refining your approach. The problem that I see is that you didn't make yourself her focus in your exchange. Instead you made a club the prize and making yourself something that came along with it.
