So yesterday was my first time in an HB Setting and I totally bombed. Get to this party where I don't know most of the people there so I'm immediately nervous. Go outside to smoke, some girl approaches me, asks for my lighter and I blank out. Completely forgot everything I learned. This shits hard.

Classic fear of rejection. Rejection hurts. The higher you place her in your perceived view of her worsens that blow to your ego. the more excited you are by her, the more the rejection hurts. So how worthwhile talking to a woman is is directly proportional to how much pain is involved with her rejecting you. Some guys would rather avoid the pain.

Scary, so much so, that many guys even get to the point of not talking to girls at all.

This is bullshit.

It's backward thinking.

Rejection from an incompatible woman is soooo much better than acceptance from one. She is doing you a favor Bro, with immediate rejection you should be grateful for it. It sets you free to find someone better.

Not trying is worse, in the long run, it just festers, like that funky mole on your back, not a big deal to give up on it and not think about it. But it GROWS, and soon you find yourself NEVER talking to women!

Truth be told you are 75% more likely to receive a positive feed back rather than the negative one you already cooked up up in your head!

If she doesn't like you? So fucking what?

Confidence is not, "I know she'll like me." That's setting yourself up to get blown out. Confidence is, "I'm okay if they don't."

That little girl out there smoking? How are you ever going to experience the joys of her vagina, if you never meet her?

Ask yourself that question every time.

Ever buy a lottery ticket like your average dumb. dumb?

And you think to yourself; "Man. if I won, it'll be raining pussy 'round here!!"

Grow the balls to actually speak to a girl, and your odds ZOOM all the way up to a a minimum. 50/50.

I know it's lame but it's not really fear of rejection from her it's more like fear of word getting around that I'm a weirdo haha, since it was an environment where people knew who I was. Rejection in a place where I don't know anyone is easy. I don't mind it because it won't trace back to me. But yes, fuck it. Next time I'll just think "3 second rule."
