Hi All,

Just to introduce myself, I am a 30 year old finalizing a divorce. I used to be fairly active but over the last 7 years i kind of fell out of practice and it seems like the scene has changed a lot. I have a kid, and my ex is SUPER fucking crazy (clinically) so I am also a full time dad to an awesome kido. I am starting to look around some, and kinda hit a snag with a prospect and am feeling kinda hung up.

Here is the situation...
-I have a coworker in who lives on the other side of the country but due to the nature of our work we constantly see one another. figure between 12 and 18 times a year. We were close as we were both in serious relationships and both have a kid. When I started going through my divorce she was a constant presence, she helped out a lot and slowly things got a little intimate and we started to really "engage" with one another via text and SPAM. She was with her sig other through some, but eventually broke it off. He showed up one night and got kinda crazy and scared the piss out of her, and broke a grip of her shit, including her phone and ripped out her modem and disconnected her.

Now, here is MY problem..

After that shit happened she went dark for about a week, then was distant for a while. I tried to shrug it off but since then she let me know she wanted to back off and not really engage with me in anymore in the way we were. So i backed off and tried to reengage and am getting the cold shoulder. My friend advised me to come here for advice and told me to STOP all contact. I am a fucking great sales man and my instincts are to reengage and then reengage again... fucking training. I know its kind of an odd situation, but any advice is appreciated.

Sounds to me like you need to move on. If you move on, friend zone the hell out of her, I'm willing to bet she'll come back to you when she's ready.

I wouldn't reengage. I'd drop it completely until she comes back.
